CONSERVATION ASSISTANCE Art Recovery LAhttps://sites.google.com/view/artrecoveryla/home Art Recovery LA is an alliance of local art conservators and preservation professionals who have mobilized to provide pro bono support to individuals, artists, cultural organizations, and communities affected by the LA fires. Art conservators are professionals who specialize in repair, cleaning, and treatment of damaged artworks, architectural features, objects of all types, photos, and books. Check the Art Recovery LA website for information about in-person conservation clinics. LA’s cultural heritage conservation professionals are working together to respond to our community’s needs. Your responses will help shape programs and resources to support the recovery and preservation of fire-damaged cultural items. For questions, please contact artrecoveryla@gmail.com. Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) https://www.bacc.org/resources-guides Balboa Art Conservation Center is available to assist before, during, and after an emergency. In the aftermath of an emergency, call for information, guidance, and referrals to local resources and on-site assistance, as required. If your personal items or collections were affected by the recent wildfires, consult BACC's Disaster Recovery Guide for items exposed to soot and ash.
FREE TEMPORARY ART STORAGE Curatorial.com info@curatorial.com To help support recovery and safeguard artworks, Curatorial is offering free temporary art storage to anyone impacted by the recent LA fires who requires immediate evacuation of their pieces, subject to availability.   • The Artists’ Fellowship provides one-time emergency aid to professional visual fine artists and their families in times of sickness, natural disaster, bereavement, or unexpected extreme hardship.

  • CERF+ offers $3,000 Emergency Relief Grants to eligible craft artists who experienced a recent and substantially disruptive emergency or disaster. Foundation For Contemporary Arts

  • Emergency Grants from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts provide urgent funding for visual and performing artists who 1) have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding, or 2) incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates.

  • The Gottlieb Emergency Grant program provides interim financial assistance to qualified painters, printmakers, and sculptors whose needs are the result of an unforeseen, catastrophic incident, and who lack the resources to meet that situation.

  • https://www.nyfa.org/awards-grants/rauschenberg-medical-emergency-grants The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to US-based artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography. A separate emergency grant program is also available for dancers. The deadline to apply has been extended to February 20, 2025, at 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) for artists residing in Los Angeles County.
