MAAA Events

The Museum of African American Art remains closed due to the COVID-19 public health crisis. In preparation for reopening, we are in the process of implementing the required public safety protocols. At this time, we are not accepting any new private event rentals. We will notify you when we are able to resume booking private events at MAAA.

CANCELED EVENTS

The COVID-19 public health crisis affected the museum's scheduled events for March, April, and May 2020. The March 14th MAAA trip to see Veils the Musical at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center was canceled, and refunds were issued to those who purchased their tickets from MAAA. The April 25th book signing with Terry McMillan for her latest novel It's Not All Down Hill From Here was also canceled. The MAAA Essential Senegal trip (May 16–25) was canceled in March due to the international travel advisory issued by the U.S. State Department, and the maximum possible refund was issued to all scheduled travelers.
